About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager with strong computer vision foundations and experience in reconstruction techniques who is looking to productionize cutting-edge research into our new neural simulation product. You will develop a first-of-its-class simulation product that will enable the next generation of data-driven autonomous vehicles. Your work will also position Applied Intuition as the most advanced vehicle intelligence supplier to the largest OEMs in the world.

At Applied Intuition, you will:

  • Build, manage and mentor a team of world-class machine learning and software engineers

  • Develop a fast, scalable, and high fidelity neural simulator that will act as a playground to train and evaluate the next generation of data-driven autonomous vehicles

  • Work closely with customers to define requirements and implement solutions for our neural simulation product

  • Push the state of the art of multi-sensor 4D reconstruction, novel view synthesis and diffusion for dynamic scenes

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, robotics, or related fields from a top institution

  • 4+ years working in the machine learning field

  • 2+ years of people management experience

  • Experience with modern neural simulation techniques e.g. Gaussian splatting, NeRFs, Dust3R, and Diffusion Programming experience in Python or C++

Nice to have:

  • Experience building software for technical end users

  • Peer-reviewed research at machine learning conferences like NeurIPS, CVPR, ICML, ICLR, ICCV/ECCV, IROS, ICRA

  • Experience using 4D reconstruction or diffusion in autonomous systems

  • Experience evaluating and reducing domain gap between synthetic and real data

  • Experience with classical reconstruction techniques e.g. VSLAM, SfM

  • A Master’s degree or PhD in computer science, machine learning, robotics, or related fields

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.

Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
