About the role

We are looking for a Verification and Validation Manager to lead and grow a team responsible for defining and implementing advanced validation strategies for L4 autonomy programs, starting from trucking and expanding to other verticals over time.. You'll set the technical direction, lead, mentor and grow the team, and enable safe deployment of our fleet in the US and Japan.

At Applied Intuition, you will:

  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers responsible for the validation of autonomy modules

  • Drive the development and execution of comprehensive validation strategies and test plans, including both simulation and real-world testing activities

  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of sophisticated metrics mapped to safety cases, ensuring clear reporting and alignment with industry standards

  • Architect solutions for performance analysis and challenging event identification

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other engineering leaders and industry partners to define roadmaps and priorities for validation features and capabilities

  • Lead recruiting efforts to grow the validation team with top talent

We're looking for someone who has:

  • 5+ years of experience in ADAS, autonomous driving, or related technical field

  • MS/BS degree in Robotics, Aerospace, Computer Science, or equivalent

  • Leadership experience with technical teams on autonomy system validation projects

  • Deep knowledge of ADAS/AV system architecture and standards (ISO 26262, ISO 21448, UL4600)

  • Collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and industry partners

Nice to have:

  • Prior technical leadership and management in autonomous vehicle, ADAS, or aerospace programs

  • Project management experience in AV or robotics fields

  • Experience with safety engineering and requirements management

  • Familiarity with simulation and scripting tools in autonomy systems

  • PhD in engineering, robotics, or a related technical field

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.

Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.

Please reference the job posting subtitle for where this position will be located. For pay transparency purposes, the base salary range for this full-time position in the location listed is: $200,000 to $320,000 USD annually.
