Senior Technician — Equipment & Integration.

The Senior Technician supports the build, integration, installation, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment and automation systems. This hands-on role includes mechanical assembly, electrical integration, testing, troubleshooting, and support for FAT/SAT and production ramp-up.

Key responsibilities

  • 01Assemble complex mechanical subsystems using engineering drawings.
  • 02Install, align, and verify mechanical components including motion hardware, pneumatics, and fluid systems.
  • 03Support machining, prototype builds, and iterative mechanical changes.
  • 04Build, route, and terminate wiring for panels, sensors, actuators, and industrial components.
  • 05Install PLC-controlled devices, safety hardware, motion systems, and instrumentation.
  • 06Support system bring-up including I/O checkout and troubleshooting.
  • 07Assist with equipment installation, rigging, anchoring, and facility connections.
  • 08Execute FAT/SAT procedures, record results, and recommend improvements.
  • 09Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation issues.
  • 10Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
  • 11Maintain build logs, configuration notes, and documentation packages.
  • 12Coordinate with facilities teams, contractors, vendors, and fabricators.
  • 13Train operators, maintenance teams, and junior technicians.

Qualifications

  • 015+ years in equipment assembly, automation integration, or machine build roles.
  • 02Strong mechanical assembly skills including alignment and precision fitting.
  • 03Knowledge of industrial electrical systems including sensors, motors, and safety circuits.
  • 04Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • 05Experience supporting commissioning, troubleshooting, and system bring-up.
  • 06Understanding of industrial safety practices including lockout/tagout.

Preferred skills

  • 01Experience with custom machinery or high-volume production equipment.
  • 02Basic CAD familiarity for reviewing or redlining prints.
  • 03Knowledge of industrial networking and smart devices.
  • 04Exposure to robotics and motion control systems.
  • 05Experience with Siemens or Allen-Bradley platforms.
