The RoleWe’re hiring a Head of Partner Launch to scale Salsa’s most important growth engine: partner-led payroll adoption and revenue.
Salsa has already built a strong payroll product and successfully launched early partners. Payroll works. The opportunity now is to turn that success into a repeatable system — launching payroll with new partners, driving real customer adoption, and growing durable revenue across our partner ecosystem.
In this role, you will sit at the intersection of partners, customers, and Salsa’s internal teams. You’ll drive partner launches from readiness through adoption, identify where growth breaks down, and remove those bottlenecks from the system. Your job is not just to “get partners live,” but to make payroll a product that partners can reliably sell, customers can confidently use, and Salsa can grow through.
This is a hands-on operator role. You will work directly with partner executives and their sales, marketing, product, and support leaders to design and execute launch motions, support and accelerate early payroll sales, drive customers through onboarding and first payroll, and diagnose where adoption and revenue stall. You’ll turn these learnings into repeatable playbooks that scale across partners and directly power Salsa’s growth. As this engine grows, so will the role's scope, influence, and impact.

What You’ll Do- Operate as an embedded business operator, working directly with partner executives and their sales, marketing, product, and support teams, as well as Salsa’s internal teams, to drive successful partner launches and adoption.
- Act as the single-threaded operator responsible for driving partner launch and adoption outcomes — from launch readiness through early revenue and repeat usage — ensuring momentum doesn’t stall at any stage.
- Design and execute partner launch motions, including GTM execution, early sales acceleration, onboarding flows, and first-payroll success.
- Personally build and refine GTM assets (sales decks, demos, training, campaigns, PLG flows) to support early partner sales and adoption.
- Join partner sales calls, help close early deals, and work directly with partner teams to unblock adoption and drive revenue.
- Diagnose where partner funnels break down using real data (pipeline → onboarding → first payroll → repeat usage) and drive fixes across teams.
- Turn what works into repeatable partner launch and adoption playbooks that scale across partners and directly power Salsa’s growth.
- You are a hands-on operator. You do the work yourself before systematizing or delegating it.
- You stay close to partners, customers, and real data — spending time in sales calls, onboarding flows, and live launches to understand what’s actually happening.
- You operate cross-functionally across Product, Sales, Support, and Compliance to move partner adoption forward, even when ownership is shared.
- When something isn’t working, you go deep into the details, diagnose the root cause, and drive a fix — rather than relying on process, escalation, or delegation to solve the problem for you.
- You value clarity over comfort. You surface hard truths early and push for decisions that unlock progress.
If you’re looking for a role focused solely on account management, QBRs, or high-level strategy, this is not a fit.
Experience- 5-10+ years in operating, growth, or go-to-market roles with direct responsibility for driving adoption, activation, or revenue outcomes (not just pipeline, partnerships, or enablement).
- Experience building or scaling a multi-step customer funnel (e.g., sales → onboarding → activation → repeat usage), especially in environments where execution quality determines growth.
- Proven ability to operate hands-on in ambiguous, cross-functional environments while doing the work yourself before systematizing or delegating.
- Experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, or embedded products strongly preferred.
- Founder or early-stage operator experience is a strong plus (especially if you’ve had to drive outcomes without clean ownership or perfect systems).
- You care more about making things work in practice than debating strategy in the abstract.
