The role
After our first full year of selling the tldraw SDK, we’re very confident that we’re on to something: the inbound sales volume & conversion has been high-quality & steady and we’re proving that we can solve real challenges as well as charge for that impact. It’s now time to launch our first strategic outbound effort, and you’ll be in the trenches making that happen. Based out of our London HQ, you’ll be spending the vast majority of your time identifying and reaching out to new prospects, and encouraging them to meet with the sales team by showing a clear appreciation of their struggles - and how tldraw can help. You’ll also be triaging inbound interest and even handling some of our startup sales processes.
The team is here to support, but as a young business, early in the outbound game, you’ll be entrusted to work stuff out yourself a lot of the time - from creating lead lists based on target segments, to running your own messaging experiments to determine what cuts through. With great responsibility comes great opportunity, and the chance to work in a small and highly ambitious team means rapid progression opportunities for the right person.
The person
You’re early in your career, and are keen to see what the inside of a rapid-growth startup looks like. You’re naturally good with people, find business challenges fascinating, and have no hesitation in spending the time that’s needed to get something done. You’re also more motivated by ambiguity than you are fearful of it, and are something who will just get on with things.
At the heart of your motivation is a simple desire to identify problems and propose clear solutions to them. Tldraw’s SDK has an enormous range of potential applications, and an equally wide range of customers it could solve problems for - as well as many that it’s not right for. So having a truly customer-centric approach to evaluating potential fit - or not! - is crucial, combined with the appetite to get under the skin of our tech and rapidly join the dots.
You will
tldraw is a London-based Series A startup that creates software for “infinite canvas” applications. It is best known for tldraw.com, the hugely popular (and free) zero-friction collaborative whiteboard. Tldraw is also known for its viral demos and experiments, such as Computer and Make Real. The commercial product is our infinite canvas SDK for the web, for our clients to embed - and build on - a canvas in their own products & services. The community includes ~60k+ X followers, 35k+ GitHub stars, and 6k Discord members.
